Hughs handbuilt releif.

Deep Six Cycles

My home boy Hugh's shop was hit with some hard luck. His shop has suffered some pretty big losses due a broken sprinkler pipe. This guy and every one at his shop have always been there for me when ever I have needed any thing! He is certainly not the type to readily take a hand out and it seems is always giving. If you have an XS650 project check out for some top of the line parts and innovations! I hope you guys are able to rebound quickly!Check out the links below!!!

P.S. Hugh one day I will learn to lay out my blog posts as professionally as you!!!

Fenders, Fenders, Fenders! (Aka try and catch me shipping)

Deep Six Cycles

We have a pile of these 7" Flat Fenders we are selling for 35$! Snatch one up while we have them! We have reduced our prices and they are moving like hot cakes!  These flat fenders were made just for us in a neighboring state! That's right that means these fenders were made right here in the USA! They are perfect for an Old School Chopper, Bobber or any Custom job you can dream up. This heavy gauge fender measures 25 3/4" long and 10 5/8" tall and fits a 16" wheel tire combo very well. Buy one with the PayPal button below or feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

Peers or Competitors? (Aka A Shout out to my Friends in the Industry and those I have yet to meet!)

Deep Six Cycles

Lookie here!!! I don't really care if you don't buy my parts or have me do your fab work and machining. How ever there are so many kick ass small guys/companies out there doing some of the most phenomenal work you have seen. When you support them you support the American Chopper/Custom fabricator directly. Thus supporting true custom culture and that is what its all about. If every bike is built with the same parts, style, mods, what damn fun would any of it be?
These small guys thinking outside the box and coming up with new twists keep diversity in the scene. Which is where it all came from in the first place. We wouldn't have z bars, rabbit ears, crazy cut up molded gas tanks and fenders, narrow ass long front ends, or (gasp) ape hangers. This list clearly goes on and on and on. If it weren't for some crazy ass shut up in a garage or basement (or where the hell ever) thinking outside the box and taking a chance we wouldn't have all these classic custom parts.
The point is there are a quite a few cats making handle bars, and working with brass and stainless to make parts and accents for your bike. I have met or at least corresponded with many of them. They have great products and many of them are incredibly talented craftsmen. And down to earth. I remain to be blown away by how awesome some of these people are even though some might consider us competitors.
At the end of the day I would rather have peers and friends than competitors. Don't get me wrong we all take pride in our work and when we sell that work it puts food on the table and keeps the lights on both in the shop and at home.  So put down the big box store catalog with all the parts made over seas that every one else has and support the folks that are keeping it going right here at home!

Making up for lost time!!! (AKA Choppertastic!)

Deep Six Cycles

Its back! We just gotta get rolling to build inventory up again. In case you didn't know I packed the shop up into storage when I found out Liz was pregnant with our son and found a job that was slightly more dependable. I always got by just fine but month to month there really was no telling if I could support myself the shop and a whole family... Well I'm back at it running nights and weekends from the house. If you see something you want let me know and I'll try to get it made up for ya!

Cathy"s Help

Deep Six Cycles

Cathy Johnson is the inspiration behind Jeremy’s motorcycle and foundation. Cathy is Jeremy Johnson’s mother, who lost her fight with breast cancer in 2005. Jeremy has worked hard to find a way to help woman that are fighting breast cancer. Throughout 2012 Jeremy will collect donations for his tribute ride to Sturgis 2012. All the donations made to this fund will be given to individual women that are fighting breast cancer, with or without insurance.

 About Jeremy and his mission
“A week after I got back from the 2005 Smoke Out, my mother passed away from metastasized breast cancer complications . She fought the disease for two yrs and lost over a doctors mistake I watched my mother fight a fight nobody needs to fight and I lost my best friend . She never received help from any organizations. My goal is to raise money and give it to the women that needs help that nobody thinks about .We provide assistance with the everyday needs, medical, medicine, home repairs, ect. “
The bike that I built for breast cancer I plan to ride to Sturgis in 2012 from Atlanta, Ga . I have started letting survivors sign the motorcycles primary belt so they can be with me in spirit . The chopper is a rigid frame shovelhead chopper that has a seventy’s flair, its not going to be easy by any means with a two and a half gallon tank. My goal is to raise fifty thousand dollars, I will give all donation info on my blog so when every one that donates knows where there money has gone unlike most charity foundations . I hope I can get everyone’s support in this mission and continue this for years to come .
If you would like to donate to Cathy’s help, please hit the donate button on their home page. They even have some shirts and such! Thanks!

Been A While...

Deep Six Cycles

You may have noticed that I haven't been around much or turning a whole lot out. It has a lot if not every thing to do with the little guy seen in these pictures. We are almost set back up on a smaller scale and will be pumping things out again shortly. There are some new products we are working on and ideas for others. Stay tuned and thanks for your support!!!

We swung out to Wheels Through Time for my birthday. I could spend all day there! It really is one of the best places in Western North Carolina and not to miss! So if you find yourself passing through make sure to check it out. You won't be disappointed!

This Guy was there! He's a Ruler!

D6C Gas Cap!

Deep Six Cycles

I got a call a while back from my good buddy John Dills. I was told he wanted to snatch up a set of Brushed Aluminum Grips and Pegs for one of his pals. But the hitch was they really needed a killer gas cap to match. So I took a minute and spun up this little beauty!

That match these really well!

Or even these!
